Several days ago, I began a little bit of knitting that I intended to be the centerpiece of a small embroidery I’m making for a charity auction.
My intention was to create a lacy bit of work that I could stretch into points to make a spiky sort of mandala to stitch into the middle of the piece. But I was winging it, and increased my stitches far too quickly, and ended up with this nice mess—a real lemon!
It won’t work at all for this piece, and I’ve had to come up with another plan. But I’ll save this little scribble of yarn, as I expect I’ll be able to use it for something eventually. However, I made some dandy kaleidoscopes from this, which I have assembled into a short video—hence, lemonade!
