My late mother-in-law, Flora, lived in Unalaska, in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, for many years. While there, she became a knitter for the Oomingmak Musk Ox Producers Co-operative, knitting fine qiviut scarves for them. I was fortunate to receive one of the scarves from her some years ago. Periodically, I reblock it to refresh it; here it is, freshly unpinned from the blocking board, as soft and fluffy and warm as ever.
