Daily Color: “[T]hat old September feeling, left over from school days, of summer passing, vacation nearly done, obligations gathering, books and football in the air ... Another fall, another turned page: there was something of jubilee in that annual autumnal beginning, as if last year's mistakes had been wiped clean by summer.” –Wallace Stegner, “Angle of Repose”

It's been a very busy holiday weekend!

First, a great, two-day party filled with friends, food, and fantastic live music. Here, my husband, getting ready for his opening set on Saturday.

Our hosts have several llamas, who seemed to enjoy the music.

Then yesterday, lots of visiting with the extended family.

Today--Labor Day--I'm getting my brains in order for the week ahead, working on this week's Made on Monday, harvesting more tomatoes, and enjoying the early September sunshine.
