I've been working on a free-form floral temari, inspired by drawings of Tudor roses. It began like this:
The work is slow, and I'm figuring it out as I go along. Not sure yet whether I like it, but there is a long way to go and time will tell if it's a successful attempt. The progress so far:
Hoping today to put in some time on the leaflets and the next round of petals.
In the mean time, I have been enjoying the blossoms on our ornamental flowering crabapple tree. The flowers began as a deep red-pink, but have lightened over the past few days.
