I could be happier with this one. Well, some pieces are more successful than others, and some less--so it goes! I think the basic idea is good, so I'll keep exploring.

Part of what I don't like is that the Koigu is too thick for this scale work--all the Made on Monday pieces must be 5" X 5", although I think it helps to view this piece from a little distance.
And yet, I like the close-up details:
I look forward to trying this technique, with this yarn, on a larger piece.
