My mother died four years ago today, so of course this week's Made on Monday (MoM) stitchery is about her.
It's based on a photo of my mother, my older sister, and me, taken in a photo booth in New York City's Grand Central Station, circa 1963.
Using a photo editor, first I "sketchified" and lightened the photo:
Then, using the Art Studio iPad app, I colorized it:
I then printed it onto cotton and embroidered it. As always with embroidery, I may possibly like the back even better.
