Labor Day Weekend

Daily Color: “I’m in no hurry to do anything. I’ll probably lie here for the rest of the day. (Great term, that, ‘rest of the day’.)” –Fennel Hudson

Two-day/night party with friends, food, music (including my husband's band), and llamas; my friend Sharon hooked and I knit while we listened to the music. Today, garden beans to freeze before I can do any stitching. Tomorrow...??

Sharon hooking...

Me, making progress on a sock while enjoying the music...

The resident llamas and horses took it all in stride

Public Knitting

Daily Color: “I will continue to freak out my children by knitting in public. It's good for them.” ― Stephanie Pearl-McPhee

Saturday was Worldwide Knit in Public Day, though I delayed my observance until Sunday night.

David Gray and his band, outside at Shelburne Museum on a lovely Vermont evening

As for freaking out my kids--they were both with us at the concert and they didn't bat an eyelash at the sock-in-progress. I've been knitting in public their entire lives.
